Orders

Accept new orders, follow them through the kitchen and hand them over or send them out.

The Orders tab lists orders by stage: New, Active, Ready and Scheduled. A chime and a banner announce each new online order.

Tip: Browsers only play sound after you have touched the page once. Tap anywhere in the app after opening it at the start of a shift.

A typical order

  1. Accept a new order and pick the preparation time, or Reject it with a reason. When rejecting, Refund the customer if they paid sends the money back through the payment gateway.
  2. The kitchen prepares it on the kitchen display. When some dishes are ready the order shows as partly ready; when every dish is ready it moves to Ready.
  3. Hand over a pickup or takeaway order, or Dispatch a delivery and then mark it delivered.

The customer's tracking page follows each step.

Reasons

Rejecting or cancelling an order, and removing a dish, always asks for a reason, such as "Kitchen busy" or "Item unavailable". Reasons appear on the customer's email and in the closing summary, so you can see why orders were lost. Choosing Other asks for a few words.

Order detail

Tap an order number to open it. You see the dishes with their choices and notes, the kitchen tickets, the ready time, the customer, the payment and a timeline of everything that happened. From here you can also:

  • Change time when the kitchen needs longer;
  • void a dish, with a reason;
  • record a failed delivery attempt, for example when the customer did not answer;
  • Print receipt or Print packing slip, or Reprint a kitchen ticket;
  • message the customer on WhatsApp, or open the delivery address in Google Maps.

Orders placed in WooCommerce

Every Plattivo order is a normal WooCommerce order. You also see it under WooCommerce → Orders, with its type and stage, and WooCommerce's own status is kept in step: an order marked fulfilled and paid becomes Completed, and a rejected or cancelled order becomes Cancelled.
