Docs Set up
Getting started
Install Plattivo, run the setup wizard and take your first test order in about 30 minutes.
Plattivo works on top of WooCommerce: your dishes are WooCommerce products, orders are WooCommerce orders, and payments go through your WooCommerce payment methods. Plattivo adds the restaurant parts.
What you need
- WordPress 6.5 or newer, with PHP 8.1 or newer;
- WooCommerce 9.0 or newer, installed and activated;
- a theme you like (any theme works; block themes such as Twenty Twenty-Five work well).
Tip: Want to look around first? The live demo is a complete restaurant, with the staff app at /restaurant-app/.
Install
- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Install Plattivo: go to Plugins → Add New, search for "Plattivo", and click Install Now, then Activate. You can also upload the zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Open Restaurant → Setup.
The setup wizard
Restaurant → Setup walks you through eight short steps. Each step saves on its own, so you can stop and come back, or skip a step and return to it later.
| Step | What you set |
|---|---|
| Store check | Checks that WooCommerce and your store are ready, and points out anything to fix first |
| Restaurant | Name, address, phone and email |
| Tax | Whether prices include tax; India stores can apply the GST preset |
| Services | What you offer: pickup, delivery and dine-in, the packaging charge, and a first delivery area by postcode |
| Opening hours | Hours per weekday, closed days, and when your business day starts |
| Menu | Load the demo restaurant, or start from your own WooCommerce products |
| Checkout | How customers pay, cash payment, and the "Order Online" page |
| Finish | You're ready to take orders |
The demo restaurant
Load the demo restaurant in the Menu step adds about 40 dishes with photos, choices and combos, so you can try everything straight away. Remove the demo takes it all away again in one click, without touching your own products.
Take a test order
- Open your Order Online page and order a dish for pickup, paying with cash.
- Open
https://your-site/restaurant-app/on your phone and sign in as an administrator. - On Orders, accept the order. Open the Kitchen tab and mark it Ready, then hand it over on Orders.
You have just run an order from the menu to the customer.
Next steps
- Set up your menu: dishes, choices and combos.
- Pickup, delivery and dine-in: delivery zones and hours.
- The ordering page: add it to your site and match your brand.
- The staff app: give your team their accounts.
- Printing: kitchen tickets and receipts.
Your data
Under Restaurant → Setup → Your data you choose whether deleting the plugin also deletes its data. It is off by default, so a reinstall finds everything as it was. Orders always stay in WooCommerce.
