Kitchen display
Put the kitchen's tickets on a tablet, with timers, notes and one-tap Ready.
Open the Kitchen tab on a tablet in the kitchen. Any recent Android tablet or iPad works; mount it where the cooks can reach it.
Choose the station
The tablet shows one station, for example Kitchen, Bar or Tandoor. Choose it with the buttons under the title; the choice is remembered for that user. Stations are set up under Restaurant → Stations in WordPress.
Tickets
Tickets are sorted by priority, then oldest first. Each shows:
- the order number and the type or table;
- how long it has waited;
- the dishes with their choices;
- notes in red.
Working a ticket
- Start (optional) shows the front of house that the kitchen has begun.
- Ready marks the dishes as cooked. When every dish of an order is ready, the order is ready.
- Bump clears a ticket when your kitchen uses a separate step after Ready.
- Recall brings back a ticket bumped by mistake.
- Reprint prints the ticket again.
Filters and summary
Show only dine-in, takeaway, pickup or delivery tickets, or the recently bumped ones. The summary shows new, preparing and ready counts, tickets done today and the average time.
Set up the tablet
- Full screen hides the browser bars.
- The screen stays awake while the Kitchen tab is open.
- A chime plays once for each new ticket. Turn sounds off in More → Settings.
- If the Wi-Fi drops, Start, Ready and Bump are saved on the tablet and sent when it is back online.
Pro: Plattivo Pro shows several stations on one screen and colours tickets by their target time.
