Menu availability ("86")

Turn dishes and choices off when they run out, and back on when they return.

More → Menu in the staff app lists your dishes, each with a switch. In restaurants, taking a dish off is called "86-ing" it.

Turn a dish off

Turn a dish off for an hour, until later today or until you turn it back on. Customers see it as unavailable straight away, and it comes back on its own when the time is up.

Turn a choice off

Tap a dish to see its choices (for example sizes and add-ons) and turn single choices off: "Extra cheese" can run out while the pizza is still available.

If every option of a required choice is off, the dish becomes unavailable automatically, because nobody could order it.

Prices

Managers with the right permission can change a dish's price here. The change is recorded with their name.

What else makes a dish unavailable

A dish can also be unavailable because its category is off, the kitchen station it is cooked at is paused, WooCommerce stock has run out, or the restaurant is closed. Troubleshooting lists the checks.

The full menu (dishes, photos, choices and combos) is managed in WordPress, see Setting up your menu.
